How Much Money Did Each Athlete Earn at the 2024 CrossFit Games

| Aug 12, 2024 / 3 min read

The 2024 CrossFit Games ended this weekend, on Sunday evening, and the leaderboard is final and official. According to the rulebook, every single athlete who competed during the weekend would get a part of the prize purse.

At the moment of writing, CrossFit has not revealed any plans to change how the prize purse would be divided. With the passing of Lazar Đukić, and many athletes withdrawing, there are still questions lingering about the prize purse and how much athletes are actually going to get.

For purposes of this article, we are then looking at the official CrossFit platform leaderboard and going from there in which place each athlete is placed, therefore giving them the allocated correct amount.

Typically, if a person is disqualified or withdraws, that person’s placement would go to the bottom of the line. Because of Lazar’s passing, CrossFit allowed athletes to choose events to participate or not – this probably means that even if someone who withdrew have more points than someone who competed the entire weekend, the leaderboard is based on overall points.

Besides Đukić passing away, Victor Hoffer also went to the Games but withdrew even before the first competition, even though he has 0 points, he is currently 38th overall (there were only 39 male athletes competing this weekend).

Besides the money allocated per overall placement, the top 3 individual athletes in each event also got a bonus.

  • 1st – $3,000
  • 2nd – $2,000
  • 3rd – 1,000

With that in mind, here is how much money each athlete earned at the 2024 CrossFit Games taking into consideration the overall placement and possible bonus from event wins.
