The third episode of the WFP’s “UNBREAKABLE” mini-documentary series gives viewers a peek into the daily lives of two athletes as they navigate the WFP Online Challenger Qualifier.
Follow along as the Buttery Bros introduce you to two athletes at different stages in their competitive fitness careers — both fighting for the same goal: a WFP 2026 season Pro Card.
Meet the Athletes
Nick Mathew
Nick Mathew is a two-time CrossFit Games athlete, finishing in the top 20 both times. In his debut at the 2022 Games, he finished 14th and was awarded “Rookie of the Year”. Affectionately known as “Crop-top Nick”, the 31-year-old from Minnesota, MN is taking on a new challenge this season as he navigates the WFP circuit.
Trista Smith
At just 19 years old, Trista Smith is already one of the rising stars in the sport of fitness. A former CrossFit Games teen division athlete, she finished as the runner-up in the 16-17 age division in 2023. In that same year, she came close to qualifying for the Games in the adult division, proving she can compete with the best. Backed by elite coaches and training partners, she’s on a mission to prove she belongs at the top.
