World Fitness Project Confirms Workout Lineup for Tour Stop 2

| Aug 09, 2025 / 3 min read

After an explosive opener in Indianapolis for Tour Stop 1, where tight finishes, unexpected leaderboard swings, and standout rookie performances set the tone for the season, the World Fitness Project is wasting no time raising the bar.

The newly announced workouts for Tour Stop 2 in Mesa, Arizona (August 29–31) promise a complete test, blending raw endurance, high-skill gymnastics, and heavy lifts that could once again shake up the overall standings.

“This one’s going to catch some people off guard,” said Derek Forrest during the On the Pulse reveal. “There’s nowhere to hide across this lineup.”

Day 1

Pro 1 – The Long Grind

2-mile run for time (20-minute cap).

“This is pure engine,” noted Will Moorad. “It’s not flashy, but it will set the tone for the weekend.”

Pro 2 – Rope, Plyo, Grit

5 rounds for time of rope climbs, strict handstand push-ups, heavy double kettlebell squats, and burpee box jump-overs (20-minute cap).

Tommy Marquez added: “By round three, the combination of pulling, pressing, and jumping is going to bite hard. The athletes who pace smartly will gain ground here.”

Day 2

Pro 3 – Cardio-Core Crush

Ski erg calories, toes-to-bar, heavy deadlifts, weighted GHD sit-ups, and Echo bike calories (11-minute cap).

Pro 4A – Max Clean

8 minutes to establish a 1-rep max clean.

Pro 4B – Row and Lunge

Following a 2-minute rest, 500 m row and heavy farmer-carry lunges for time (5-minute cap).

“This is a nasty pairing,” said Seth Page. “You’ve got a high-adrenaline max lift and then, boom — you’re straight into a gut-check sprint with the row and lunges. It’s a real test of composure under fatigue.”

Day 3

Pro 5 – Skill Shuffle

5 rounds for time of bike calories, handstand walk with pirouette, and weighted double-unders (18-minute cap).

“This is where the technicians shine,” Moorad observed. “If you have holes in your skill game, they’re going to show.”

Pro 6 – Upper Body Blast

For time: ring muscle-ups, heavy snatches, bar muscle-ups, and clean & jerks (10-minute cap).

“For the final workout, they’re making you go overhead heavy and then hit the highest-skill gymnastics in the sport,” Marquez said. “It’s a brutal but fitting finale.”

A Well-Rounded Test

The Tour Stop 2 program blends long-distance grind, short time-cap intensity, and elite-level skill work. From the sustained effort of the opening 2-mile run to the high-precision demands of handstand pirouettes, this is a weekend that will demand both capacity and control.

If Tour Stop 1 was about establishing the pecking order, Mesa looks like it could completely rewrite it. As Forrest put it: “If you want to be in the conversation for the series, you cannot stumble here.”
