HYROX descended on Stuttgart over the weekend with stacked fields in the Pro events.

In the Men’s Pro race Tim Wenisch returned to winning ways with a time of 54:21.

As always, Tim was extremely strong in the running with a fastest lap of 3:03. As you can see below he was also very consistent with a slowest time of 03:20.

Running 1 – 03:17

Running 2 – 03:03

Running 3 – 03:07

Running 4 – 03:05

Running 5 – 03:10

Running 6 – 03:08

Running 7 – 03:09

Running 8 – 03:20

In the workouts he brought a similar level of consistency. With the exception of the Farmer’s Carry (15th – 01:27) he achieved a top ten time at every station. A 03:39 in the SkiErg gave him the fastest time overall for that station and ensured he was leading from the off.

1000m Ski Erg – 03:39 (1st)

50m Sled Push – 02:14 (4th)

50m Sled Pull – 03:23 (10th)

80m Burpee Broad Jump – 02:21 (3rd)

1000m Row – 03:55 (8th)

Farmer’s Carry – 01:27 (15th)

100m Sandbag Lunges – 02:56 (7th)

Wall Balls – 03:41 (6th)

To us this looked like a masterclass in controlled racing. It certainly seems like Tim has more in the tank and with the Melbourne major and another showdown with Hunter McIntyre looming, Tim seems to be in a great place.

Another athlete who seems to be in a great place is Sean Noble. Sean finished second in Stuttgart in a personal best time of 54:45. Ireland’s fastest HYROX athlete is very much on an upward trajectory following his 56:55 at the Elite 15 race in Hamburg and the 55:04 which took first place in the Men’s Pro in Birmingham.

Sean certainly has the raw speed to compete with the very best – his fastest run time in Stuttgart was 02:55. We’ll be watching to see if he can take the leap to a podium finish in the upcoming majors.
