Rising HYROX star Liam McCroary made his Elite 15 debut at the weekend with a solid 8th place finish in 55:53. That time put him within 30 seconds of a podium finish and ahead of Elite 15 veterans like Beau Wills, Jonathon Wynn, Jake Dearden and James Kelly.
On a tight course Liam maintained a consistent pace in the running:

Running 6 – 4:41

Running 8 – 4:07
He posted on Instagram: Genuinely loved every second of this experience and race… after the sleds. And I’ll take the number 1 burpee time of the night again😂😂
Check out his workout splits (and a very fast burpee time!)

This race took place on a different setup from the Elite 15 race so the running times were a bit faster and more time was spent in the Roxzone, but check out these splits for a model of consistency:

Running 2 – 3:16
Running 3 – 3:20
Running 4 – 3:19
Running 5 – 3:20
Running 6 – 3:21

Running 8 – 3:57
In the workouts he recorded top 10 times at 5 of the 8 stations:

8th place in his first Elite 15 race followed by a win in the Men’s Pro is a great return for Liam. We’ll be watching to see if he can follow up his strong performances and qualify for the World Championships at the next major in Phoenix.
