CrossFit Updates Worldwide Ranking System After 2024 Semifinals; 6 Changes in the Top 10

| Jun 07, 2024 / 3 min read

The worldwide ranking system for CrossFit has been updated following the conclusion of the 2024 CrossFit Games. As expected, there have been notable changes within the top 100 rankings for both male and female athletes. Laura Horvath and Jeff Adler successfully retained her first-place position, but there were other changes in the top 10.

The introduction of the new worldwide ranking system back in 2022 is what determined how many each of the Semifinals would have Games-qualifying spots the following year – the more athletes in the top 100 of the new ranking were competing in the same tournament, the higher chances it would get an additional invitation to the CrossFit Games.

CrossFit previously updated the rankings after Quarterfinals to come up with the Games-qualifying spot for the 2024 Semifinals. This time, the updated rankings will not have any effect on the CrossFit season – as we already know who is going to the Semifinals – but it is still interesting to see who made the top 100 after Semifinals (and beyond).

Men

The top 6 athletes remained unchanged in the men’s division with Jeff Adler maintaining top position after winning the North America East Semifinal – he is followed by former CrossFit Games champion Justin Medeiros and Russian powerhouse Roman Khrennikov.

In the top 10, Dallin Pepper took over one position from Samuel Kwant (both are going to the Games this year) and Jay Crouch lost one position to Jayson Hopper.

The most improved athlete in the top 100 was Brandon Luckett who climbed up 2501 positions to rank 124th overall. CrossFit Games rookie Ivan Kukartsev also made impressive gains going up 454 positions to 40th place.

Women

You can check out the entire women’s ranking updated here.

In the women’s division, we saw less movement in the top 10. Laura Horvath is still number one, followed by Emma Lawson and Gabriela Migala, the 1st, 2nd, and 4th ranked during the 2023 CrossFit Games.

Cracking the top 10 we see two new faces: Seher Kaya in 9th and Emma Tall (10th).

Chloe Gauvin-David is the female athlete who improved the most compared to the previous ranking, going from 1998th to 182nd among the top 1000 in her division. This is her second CrossFit Games appearance as an individual athlete – she has been there before in 2018, since then she has been part of a team who has been to the Games in 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
