A GoFundMe page receiving donations for the Dukic family has surpassed the amount the winner of the 2024 CrossFit Games will receive at the end of the weekend.

Lazar Dukic, Serbian athlete, sadly passed away while competing at event 1 of the CrossFit Games this past Thursday (8). His brother, Luka Dukic, was competing alongside him. For a full account of the details of how it happened, click here.
Soon after his death was confirmed, a GoFundMe campaign began to assist his family during this difficult time. Less than 48 hours after the tragic news shocked the world, the CrossFit community came together in spirit and raised more money than the winner of this year’s CrossFit Games will receive.
The 1st place of the 2024 CrossFit Games will receive a total of U$315,000. At the moment of writing, the GoFundMe campaign raised more than U$369,000 from more than 6,300 donations.
