Hafthor Björnsson lifts 510kg at the Mutant Deadlift World Championships in Birmingham, breaking the world record with apparent ease.

Hafthor “The Mountain” Björnsson just ripped 510kg off the floor like it was warm-up weight.

At the Mutant Deadlift World Championships in Birmingham, the Icelandic strongman smashed his own world record and left fans convinced he hasn’t even hit his limit yet.

Inside the Utilita Arena, the 2018 World’s Strongest Man stepped to the bar with a calm focus. Moments later, the former Game of Thrones star locked out the heaviest lift in history.

“Ladies and gentlemen, it is… wow. And the first thing that comes to mind when you look at that is the fact that that was easy,” the announcer said as the crowd erupted .

“The Strongest I’ve Ever Been”

Björnsson was quick to underline just how dominant he feels right now.

“I am the strongest I’ve ever been. I’m the greatest. Thanks to you guys, I was able to be successful today. I am so happy I was able to come here, prove so many people wrong… I want to thank you all for coming here, supporting us. It means the world.”

This record lift comes four years after his legendary 501kg deadlift that broke Eddie Hall’s long-standing mark. Now, Björnsson has raised the bar to 510kg — and done it with shocking speed and control.Fans React: “Greatest Lift of All Time”

The response online was immediate — and fans couldn’t believe how smooth the record looked.

On YouTube, one viewer wrote:

“Pulled that faster than 505kg, he definitely had 520kg-525kg in him. He’s in his own league right now, we are witnessing history.” – @RedOctober993

Others echoed the same point, highlighting the speed of the lift:

“The speed and fluidity of that 510kg deadlift was absolutely remarkable!” – @Dr.GillPeakPerformance_DPT

“Absolutely ludicrous, the greatest lift of all time no contest, that speed was insane!” – @pugprollisus2854

How Heavy Can He Really Go?

What makes this record different is that it didn’t look like a max attempt. Fans, commentators, and even fellow lifters are already asking the same question: if 510kg looked this easy, is 525kg next?

Thor

For now, Hafthor Björnsson stands alone at the top of the deadlift mountain. But judging by the speed of that bar, this story isn’t finished yet.
