Tudor Magda and Emily Claw Win CrossFit Open 24.2 Workout
The 20 minute AMRAP put all athletes around the world to sweat and (sometimes) rethink their life decisions. But two of them raised above all others to claim the best numbers for the 24.2 CrossFit Open workout.
Tudor Magda

Tudor Magda is fairly famous among lovers of the Sport. The 21-year-old athlete from United States has been to the CrossFit Games a total of 4 times, but only last year was his first time as an elite athlete – which he finished 34th overall.
Before that, as a teen, he won the golden medal when he was 15 and finished 3rd in 2019.
As an Open athlete, his best placement among the elite was in 2022 (same year he went to the Games) where he finished 70th worldwide.
Tudor Magda also competed at the Rogue Invitational last year – he placed 15th.
During 24.2, Tudor Magda managed to post more reps than all his peers at the official leaderboard. He did a total of 1001 reps during the workout – second place was Henrik Haapalainen with 998 reps. Here is a quick rundown of the top 5:
- Tudor Magda – 1001 reps
- Henrik Haapalainen – 998
- Dallin Pepper – 995
- Jonne Koski – 995
- Travis Mead – 985
You can see the entire leaderboard for the 24.2 CrossFit Open workout here.
Emily Claw
Emily Claw is less known in the CrossFit community at an international level. For example, the Swedish athlete has been logging her Open results since 2020, but has chosen to never go through to Quarterfinals.
CrossFit rules dictate that athletes who finished in the 25% of the leaderboard are automatically sent an invitation to continue in the competition through to Quarterfinals. In 2022, Emily Claw finished 169th worldwide in the Open (her best placement as of yet) and was eligible to compete in the online Quarterfinals. However, she did not post any results for the competition.
The 27-year-old athlete from CrossFit Walleye beat second place in the 24.2 CrossFit Open workout by a single rep – fun fact, the second position was also filled by a Swedish athlete. Check out a quick rundown of the top 5 in the women’s category for the 24.2 workout only:
- Emily Claw – 926 reps
- Hanna Karlsson – 925
- Grace Walton – 917
- Arielle Loewen – 914
- Ashleigh Angle – 912
