CrossFit Inc. has quietly updated its rulebook this past week and revealed what will be the 2024 CrossFit Games prize purse. And, as of yet, it will be the same cash prize as last year’s for elite individuals, teams, and master athletes – CrossFit is yet to update the prize purse for the top teen athletes.
It’s all there, updated on this year’s rulebook on CrossFit’s official page. The Games prize for the 2024 season is the same for the top individual athletes and their respective top 3 for each event finish, teams and master athletes.
However, one thing did change this year compared to last year – the adaptive division.
For these athletes, the prize purse will actually shrink compared to 2023, but there is a catch. Last year, only 8 adaptive divisions got to participate in the CrossFit Games, but this year athletes from all 15 divisions will get to shine for the title of Fittest on Earth. With that, the prize has shrunk from $5,000 for first place to $2,000, for example.
