UPDATE: CrossFit has written that athletes have no time cap for the first 1600-metre run. And at the 12th minute mark, athletes will begin the sprint portion of the workout.

People online are questioning if sprinting at the 12th minute is not “too much of a rest” for elite-level athletes. This could mean that CrossFit will turn this event into a two-part with two different scores, forcing athletes to run as fast as possible during the 1600-metre and then catching their breath afterwards for a more endurance-related event with bag carry in the end.

This will be the last event on Friday night, at Farringdon Field – one of the few events outside of Dickies Arena. It is also before any of the cuts scheduled for individuals, so all athletes will compete.
